Description
SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS

The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, materials, parts, management support, transportation, supplies, and equipment necessary to successfully provide preventative maintenance services at the Edward Hines JR. VA Hospital, Research Service, Hines, IL. This system is built into the infrastructure of the Research Service and feeds deionized water to end stage purification systems as well as directly for laboratory use. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 221310 WATER SUPPLY AND IRRIGATION SYSTEMS.

THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submissions of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.

REQUIREMENTS:

Provide upkeep of the current water system to maintain filtered, deionized water supplied to laboratories and common resource areas. The contractor shall be responsible for the maintenance of the filters and membranes used in the deionized water system, including changing the membranes and filters as required in order to maintain water from the system, which is filtered through mixed bed, Type 1 tanks (to be changed every 60/90/180 days). Maintenance of the Deionized Water System and changing of the mixed bed, Type 1, tanks are necessary to provide filtered deionized water to several laboratories and common resource rooms at the VA Hospital Research Service.

The government will evaluate market information to ascertain potential market capacity to provide services consistent in scope and scale with those described in this notice and otherwise anticipated.

BASED ON THE REPSONSES TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE/MARKET RESEARCH, THIS REQUIREMENT MAY BE SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS, SOLE SOURCED OR PROCURED THROUGH FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION.
