The City of Newport Police Department is soliciting sealed bids for the procurement of Taser 10 conducted energy weapons, related accessories, and support services. This includes hardware, software licensing, warranties, training, and any associated implementation costs over a five-year period.

All sealed bids shall be delivered to City Clerk Tiffany Myers, 998 Monmouth St., Newport, KY 41071, before 10:00 a.m., local time on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids shall be in a sealed envelope and clearly marked “Tasers Bid” in the bottom left corner. The City of Newport is not responsible for the premature opening of or failure to open a sealed bid that is not properly addressed or identified. All information on the bid form shall be typed or printed in ink. Please do not use whiteout or correction tape on the bid form; doing so may result in rejection of the bid.
The City of Newport reserves the right to reject all bids and waive all formalities in the award of the bid.
Local resident bidders may be eligible for a Kentucky resident bidder’s preference pursuant to KRS 45A.

I. INTRODUCTION
The City of Newport is accepting sealed bids for the purchase of Taser 10 conducted energy weapons and associated equipment and services. This procurement includes hardware, software licensing, training, and warranty coverage over five years.
II. SCOPE OF WORK
The successful bidder shall provide:
• Taser 10 Units
• Rechargeable Battery Packs
• Training and Duty Cartridges
• Holsters and Mounting Accessories
• Evidence Software Licensing (5-Year Term)
• Instructor Certification and Training Services
• Warranty Coverage and Technical Support
All equipment must be new, unused, and meet or exceed the specifications provided in the attached proposal.
