The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to:

BSD Robotics PTY LTD is the exclusive manufacturer and provider of the BSD series of biological-sample punching instrument and spare parts, including the BSD600 Ascent A2 instrument. The BSD600 Ascent A2 is the only biological sample punch instrument in the North American market that accommodates for Deep Well plates with plate imaging camera.
BSD Robotics is the sole manufacturer accredited for maintenance and technical support.
Our research showed that no other vendor has similar instruments that are compatible with the type of plates used at the Databasing Unit of the BCA. Purchase of similar instruments from a different vendor would require validating new protocols and setting up new workflows.
