Description: The Town of Copake is soliciting proposals for the service of a planning consultant or consultant team to develop a Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan to balance sustainable development with resilient growth. The Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan is being funded by a 2024 Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan Grant from New York State Department of State, Contract C1003117 (“DOS Grant”). The scope of work is consistent with the standard NYS DOS Smart Growth Comprehensive Plan work program which is part of the 2024-2025 RFA. The selected consultant will add a brief hamlet strategy and concept plan for each of the Town’s hamlets. Note that this is a new comprehensive plan organized by smart growth principles and not an update of the existing 13-year-old plan. The timeframe for completion of the new smart growth comprehensive plan is 24 months at the most. The funds available will not exceed $91,000. M/W/SDVOB firms are encouraged to apply.
