CITY OF DESTIN, FLORIDA

The City of Destin, Florida, is currently receiving sealed competitive Bids for the installation of an underground stormwater retention system (ADS Chambers), stormwater pipe, drainage structures, and sod. Work includes all necessary materials, site work, and foundation preparation required for the placement of the stormwater system, pipes, and structures.

This RFB is considered to be Phase 1 of the Destin Crosstown Connector. The City intends to construct the Crosstown Connector project in 2 phases due to timing of availability of construction funding. When completed, the Crosstown Connector will be a new 0.42-mile two-lane east-to-west roadway corridor that will provide an alternative route to US 98 for local traffic.  The new roadway corridor will connect Azalea Drive at the Benning Drive intersection to Legion Drive at the Beach Drive intersection. Phase 2 will construct the remainder of the project and will be advertised as a separate RFB.

To bid on this project you must be placed on the Plan Holders List. Please include “RFB NO. 25-07-CM, CROSSTOWN CONNECTOR CONSTRUCTION PHASE 1” in the subject line of the email.  The bid documents can also be obtained from the City Clerk's Office at the City of Destin, 4200 Indian Bayou Trail, Destin, Florida 32541.

Proposal submissions must be received by the City Clerk's Office at the City of Destin, 4200 Indian Bayou Trail, Destin, Florida 32541, in a sealed envelope clearly marked “RFB NO. 25-07-CM, CROSSTOWN CONNECTOR CONSTRUCTION PHASE 1”, along with the name, return address and telephone number of the submitter, no later than 1:00 p.m. CT, on June 9, 2025 at which time they will be opened.  When deemed to be in the City’s best interest:

1. The city reserves the right to reject any and all submittals or portions thereof up through and including formal execution of a contract to the successful bid,

2. to waive minor defects and informalities in the process.

3. to accept the Bid(s).

4. Take any other action.
