Electrophoresis Equipment (Gel & Capillary)

Current protein fraction testing at Roswell Park is performed by gel electrophoresis. The electrophoresis instrumentation is end of life and provides 11,000 annual clinical results. The performance of these assays in house aligns with Roswell’s mission to provide laboratory testing critical for the needs of our specialized patient population. This RFP will accomplish two goals related to that mission:

1. The replacement of the current gel electrophoresis system with a new and upgraded system/software package.
2. Assist Roswell in evaluating capillary electrophoresis, and its potential for enhancing our patient testing capabilities (and its potential purchase as a result of this RFP).

NOTE: Information on both serum and urine testing is requested, but the awarding of the RFP will be based solely on the serum sample workflow.
