The Rural Municipality of Frenchman Butte No. 501 is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide ditch mowing services for approximately 500 miles of municipal roads annually for three years, covering the period from July 1, 2025, to October 15, 2027. This contract ensures that ditches are maintained to a uniform height of 4–6 inches, supporting road safety and infrastructure upkeep.

Scope of Work:

Mow ditches along municipal roads, from the road edge to fence lines, crops, water bodies, or tree lines.

Includes cutting immature trees (less than 2.5 inches in diameter).

Avoid and protect culvert markers, with damages incurring repair costs deducted from payment.

Use appropriately equipped tractors (seat belts, rollover protection, slow-moving vehicle signage, hazard lights, and PTO shields).
Fuel Adjustment Clause:

Contract rates will adjust annually based on fuel prices to account for market fluctuations, using a base price of $1.45/L.
