This public notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13. The solicitation is being released as an anticipated single-award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract competition.
The Acquisitions and Bibliographic Access Directorate (ABA) of the Library of Congress requires conveyance book trucks and associated wheel kits. The ABA’s existing conveyance trucks were purchased several decades ago and are overdue for replacement and/or repair due to their deteriorating conditions. Conveyance trucks play a crucial role in transferring large volumes of paperback and hardback books, as well as serials, between ABA divisions and the Library's Collections Management and Preservation Services divisions. The ABA also requires a manufacturer’s maintenance agreement and/or warranty for the trucks.
Please see below for the SF1449 Request for Quotation solicitation document.
Please note, this solicitation opportunity includes an optional site visit for interested offerors. Please see Section L of the SF1449 for more information.
Amendment 0001 extends the solicitation closing date to Friday 02/14/2025, no later than 5:00 PM EST.
