Solicitation Description for RFI
Title: Request for Information (RFI) for Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Repair and Maintenance Services San-I-Pak Maintenance
NAICS Code:Â 811310
Introduction:Â The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking information from qualified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) for providing repair and maintenance services for San-I-Pak.
Purpose:Â The purpose of this RFI is to gather information from interested and capable SDVOSB/VOSB vendors regarding their ability to provide the necessary services and to assess their compliance with the Nonmanufacturer Rule. This RFI aims to identify potential sources for a future solicitation and to understand the market capabilities.
Scope of Work:Â The VA requires comprehensive repair and maintenance services for San-I-Pak machinery and equipment. The services include, but are not limited to, the following:
Preventive Maintenance:
Routine inspection and servicing of equipment to ensure proper operation and to prevent equipment failure.
Diagnostic and Repair Services:
Troubleshooting and resolving issues with equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Repair or replacement of faulty components.
Parts Replacement and Upgrades:
Supply and installation of new or upgraded parts to enhance equipment performance or replace outdated components.
Emergency Repair Services:
Rapid response to urgent repair needs to minimize equipment downtime and ensure operational continuity.
Regular System Inspections:
Conducting detailed inspections of equipment systems to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions.
Key Requirements:Â Interested vendors must meet the following requirements:
SDVOSB/VOSB Verification:
Vendors must be verified as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) in the VA's SBA or Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database.
Experience and Capabilities:
Demonstrated experience in providing repair and maintenance services for San-I-Pak machinery and equipment.
Adequate staff qualifications and certifications to perform the required services.
Compliance with Nonmanufacturer Rule:
Vendors must comply with the Nonmanufacturer Rule, ensuring that the services provided are performed by the vendor itself or other qualifying small businesses.
