The Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) is requesting proposals that will support a modern education and prevention program around substance abuse and disorder. This solution will be the foundation of an education and prevention program for the district to address substance abuse and disorder, vaping, alcohol, and marijuana use in school-aged children.
TUSD has been awarded litigation settlement funds from the JUUL Vaping Litigation. This project will seek to fund a long-term curriculum focused on substance abuse, disorder, and prevention in K-12, diverse populations. The awardee should be prepared to provide a substantive curriculum that addresses students from diverse backgrounds with age-specific foci. TUSD is seeking an evidence-based curriculum that addresses substance abuse, prescription medication abuse, vaping, marijuana, and tobacco.
