This sources sought is being issued to determine if there is sufficient interest from qualified prime contractors who are Small Business, HUBZone small businesses, Woman Owned Small Businesses (WOSBs), 8(a) small businesses, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs), or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs) and who intend to submit a proposal for this solicitation to allow for a set-aside in one of these programs. Interested small businesses UST submit the following by e-mail to michelle.r.reed@usda.gov by, 3:00p.m. Eastern Standard Time, June 6, 2025:
Responses to this sources sought shall include the following:

(f) Bonding Capacity (per contract)
(g) Type of small business, e.g. Services Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, or Small Business HUBZone business. Firms shall be certified in the in the System for Award Management (SAM) located at https://www.sam.gov/.
(h) Listing of your bridge construction experience within the last 5 years where you were the prime contractor for work of similar type and scope. Include contract numbers, titles, locations, dollar amounts and a brief description. Limit of five projects.
Requirement
The proposed contract action is for a firm-fixed-priced construction contract that provides storm damage repairs to Mortimer Workcenter. The project is at Mortimer Workcenter in McDowell County in NC off State Highway 90.
Anticipated completion October 2025.
Project is estimated to $260,000.
NAICS Code 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, applies to this procurement with a size standard of $45 million.
Response
Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should include all information requested in (a) through (h) above.
Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach.
