(R010-27) Furnish Rock Salt

Project Description: NOTICE
Sealed proposals will be received online via PennBid (https://pennbid.procurware.com) until 9:00 a.m. July 24, 2026, at which time a summary of bids received will be displayed on PennBid immediately after bid opening, for the furnishing of the following:
CONTRACT R010-27
Furnish up to 30 tons of bagged rock salt in 50 pound bags to be delivered to the New Stanton Garage Building at 124 Park and Pool Road, over the period September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027.
Furnish up to 30 tons of bagged rock salt in 50 pound bags to be delivered to the George R. Sweeney Water Treatment Plant, State Route 380 off Route 66 North, Apollo, PA over the period.
Furnish up to a maximum of 750 tons of bulk rock salt to be delivered to the New Stanton Garage Building at 124 Park and Pool Road, over the period September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027.
Copies of bidding forms, specifications and other contract documents will be available at no cost on the PennBid website. Bidders shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents via the “Clarifications” feature in PennBid.
Vendors who are awarded contracts are assessed a variable award fee based on the type of contract. Term Contracts Award fee is 1/6% (.00166) of the expected value of the contract for the time period of the awarded contract. The award fee shall be no less than $150 and no greater than $6,000.
Prices quoted shall be firm for the period of SEPTEMBER 1, 2026 THROUGH AUGUST 31, 2027.
The Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid it deems in its best interest.
