ADDENDUM NO. 1
Dear Proponents,
This addendum is issued to reflect the following immediately. It shall be the responsibility of
interested Bidders to adhere to any changes or revisions to the IFB as identified in this Addendum
No. 1. This documentation shall become permanent and made part of the departmental files.

Question No. 1: The Contract Documents show a 180-calendar day schedule for this project (page 62
3.3). however, in the pre-bid they indicated 365 Working days for the contract schedule. Please
clarify.
Answer No. 1: Contract time is 365 calendar days.
Question No. 2: Please identify the source and cost of construction water for the project.
Answer No. 2: See water purchase information at the following link:

Question No. 3: Is there a laydown area available for use by the contractor?
Answer No. 3: See attached Potential Staging Areas exhibit as Attachment C. The County will
request permission from NMDOT and the State Land Office to use the parcels shown in the exhibit.
The County will act as agent.

Question No. 4: What is the engineers estimate for the project?
Answer No. 4: The Engineer’s estimate will be made available after the Bid Opening.
Question No. 5: Bid Item 11. Rock Excavation. How was this quantity determined?
Answer No. 5: The geotechnical report does not indicate the presence of rock. The quantity is
included in the Bid Form to provide a basis of payment in case rock is encountered.
Question No. 6: Is a geotechnical report available?
Answer No. 6: The geotechnical report is attached as Attachment B.
Question No. 7: Sheet W-101, note 13. Note refers to a slab at lift station on civil drawings. Civil
drawings do not reference a slab. Please provide detail on the slab.
Answer No. 7: Delete W-101, Keyed Note 13 and delete the slab shown on C-103. Install 6” of base
course as detailed on C-501 around the precast wet well, the precast valve vault and the jib crane
foundation to the grades shown on W-106.
Question No. 8: Specification section 015213 requires an office trailer be provided to the engineer.
Please confirm if this is necessary.
Answer No. 8: Delete requirement for office trailer.
Question No. 9: There is no bid item for NPDES/SWPPP. Please provide a bid item for this work.
Answer No. 9: The SWPPP will be added to the Bid Form in an upcoming addendum.
Question No. 10: There is no bid item for clear & grub along the pipe route. Please provide a bid
item for this work.
Answer No. 10: Clearing and disposal costs are incidental work, as specified in 01 29 00, 1.03 E. 11.
Question No. 11: Can grubbings from site clear & grub be wasted onsite?
Answer No. 11: Yes.
Question No. 12: Sheet W-206. Sheet shows 2 single cleanouts. Please provide a bid item for this
work.
Answer No. 12: Single cleanouts shall be included in the unit price of the sewer line, the same as
fittings, as specified in 01 29 00, A.4.e.
Question No. 13: Sheet C-104. Scale on the drawing is incorrect.
Answer No. 13: Please note Sheet C-104 is plotted at 1” = 20’.

Question No. 14: Bid Alternate One. Bid schedule shows 190 SY. Sheet C-104 shows well over 500
sy. Please confirm the quantity for Bid Alternate One.
Answer No. 14: This quantity will be adjusted in the revised bid form to be issued in an upcoming
addendum.
Question No. 15: Bid item 10. Please provide acreage for seeding so that all bidders are bidding the
same work.
Answer No. 15: Terrain Management Re-vegetation Work Requirements General Note 1 on Sheet G-
002 specifies to re-vegetate all areas disturbed by construction activities. The disturbed acreage
depends on the Contractor’s means and methods of performing the work. It is not a fixed area that
can be specified. Reclamation Seeding is a lump sum bid item that the bidder offers to do the work.
Question No. 16: Bid Item 10. Please provide a specification
Answer No. 16: Re-vegetation by reclamation seeding is specified in the General Notes on Sheet G-
002.
Question No. 17: Bid Item 7. Can you provide limits for AC R&R bid quantity does not match plans.
Answer No. 17: This will be provided in the next addendum.
Question No. 18: What is the flow rate on the existing SAS lines going in to the existing lift station?
Answer No. 18: Maximum month flow recorded between September and December 2025 is 80,000
gpd. Maximum day flow for that period is 170,600 gpd = 119 gpm average for the day. Peak hour
flow could be two to three times the maximum day flow.
Please add this Addendum No. 1 to the original proposal documents and refer to proposal documents,
hereto as such. This and all subsequent addenda will become part of any resulting contract documents
and have effects as if original issued. All other unaffected sections will have their original
interpretation and remain in full force and effect. Responders are reminded that any questions or need
