Description

THIS IS A Sources Sought Notice ONLY. The U.S. Government desires to acquire services to maintain and update the LENEL Magnetic Lock System and monthly system checks and annual software services at Fort Riley, Kansas on a small business set-aside basis, provided 2 or more qualified small businesses respond to this sources sought notice with information sufficient to support a set-aside. Be advised that the U.S. Government will not be able to set aside this requirement if 2 or more small businesses do not respond with information to support the set-aside. We encourage all small businesses, in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Small DisadvantageBusiness, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business concerns), to identify their capabilities in meeting the requirement at a fair market price.





The Fort Riley Mission and Installation Contracting and Command (MICC) Office on behalf of the Fort Riley Garrison Commander's Office located on post is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having interest in and the resources to support the requirement for a qualified LENEL Magnetic Lock System technician service provider which is currently in use at the Fort Riley Garrisons Headquarters building. The purpose is also to request information on experiences, abilities and competencies of potential offerors.






  1. Offerors must be able to demonstrate the ability to operate the LENEL magnetic locking system that is in operation currently at 3 buildings with 26 locks that are controlled through a Government provided standalone desk top computer.

  2. Offeror will be required to maintain and update the system as necessarywith appropriate LENEL software upgrades in addition to monthly system checks and annual software service.

  3. Offerors are required to support normal operational duty hours, 0900-1600, during regularly scheduled work days not holidays or weekends.

  4. Offerors must be currently registered in the System for AwardManagement (SAM) database as not being debarred.

  5. Offerors must carry NAICS code 561621 - Security Systems Services (exceptLocksmiths). This U.S. industry comprises establishments primarilyengaged in (1) selling security alarm systems, such as burglar and firealarms, along with installation, repair, or monitoring services or (2) remotemonitoring of electronic security alarm systems.

  6. The anticipated Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated to be for a baseplus three (3) option years.



Substitute magnetic locking system experience will not be accepted asexperience with LENEL systems. State if your company has managed a task ofthis nature in terms of experience and scope of work. Please provide details,sufficient to demonstrate interest and capability; providing a synopsis of work experience analogous in scope to the requirement as described in this notice.
