Project Description: Unified Police Department of Greater Salt Lake (UPD) is seeking proposals for General Liability, Automobile Liability, Property Damage, Workers’ Compensation Self-Insured Third Party (TPA) Claims Administration Services and related services. The projected start date to begin services is July 1, 2025.
The intent of these specifications is to solicit proposals from firms qualified to provide Self-Insured TPA Services for the Unified Police Department of Greater Salt Lake (UPD). UPD is seeking proposals from experienced, highly qualified, and capable TPA Administrators.
Due to the nature of the claims processes, a transition period will be needed from the current TPA to the successful offeror going forward. The successful offeror of this solicitation shall agree to maintain the same terms and conditions as the original contract/agreement for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, if necessary, as a transition period after the termination of any contract resulting from this solicitation, allowing for an orderly transition.
All offerors are expected to thoroughly read all documents contained in this package including any and all attachments.
Bids may be submitted via the State of Utah’s Purchasing Platform, U3P/Bonfire by Friday, June 6th, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. MST. Attachment A: Fees must be attached separately. No hard copies will be accepted at this time. No responses will be accepted after the closing date and time.
The contract resulting from this solicitation will be for a term of five (5) years.
Written questions shall be submitted electronically through Bonfire, the State of Utah’s Purchasing Platform, by Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. MST. Changes to the specifications will be released in an addendum to the “Request for Proposal.” If an offeror does not have Bonfire, they may email questions to awatrous@unifiedpoliceut.gov. Emailed questions will also be posted on Bonfire by UPD, with the answer, so that all respondents can see all questions and answers. Questions will not be accepted past Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. MST.
