Diablo Dam Access Road Crib Wall Replacement

Project Description:

This Project consists of the following elements of Work:

• Mobilization/demobilization
• Project Submittals
• Traffic Control Plan, barriers, and devices
• Install BMPs
• Remove and reinstall existing jersey barriers
• Break up and remove select large boulders
• Shaft construction
• Install temporary wooden lagging
• Install new soldier pile wall (steel H columns and permanent concrete lagging)
• Install backfill behind new wall
• Remove existing wooden log crib wall (approximately 12’ x 40’)
• Excavation/removal in front of proposed wall
• Provide and install crib wall veneer
• Remove asphalt pavement and 12” of subgrade
• Repave access roadway pavement from State Route 20 to the Diablo Dam in the same location/elevation as existing pavement

Engineer's Estimate: $1.1 to $1.3 Million (before sales tax)

Project Location: This Project is located along the Diablo Dam Access Road, between State Route 20 Milepost 127.8 (North Cascade Highway) and the Diablo Dam. Diablo Dam is located approximately 130 miles north of Seattle in Whatcom County.
