Cyanotoxin Automated Assay System (CAAS) and corresponding CAAS Cube Operating Software

The Minnesota Department of Health (Agency) intends to enter into an agreement with Gold Standard Diagnostics, for up t o 12 months to pro vide Cyanotoxin Automated Assay System (CAAS) and corresponding CAAS Cube operating software. This instrument fully automates ELISA protocols to determine cyanotoxin concentration in water samples. The software associated with this purchase is called Storm Suite and comes packaged with the instrument. The instrument, including the software and certificates, will be installed by the vendor service technician, who will certify that the system is operating according to manufacturer’s specifications.

The Agency determined that CAAS Cube Automated Analysis System and corresponding CAAS Cube operating software is the only commercially reasonably available commodity product that meets the Agency’s business needs. This instrument fully automates ELISA protocols to determine cyanotoxin concentration. The purchase of the automated ELISA instrument will automate the analysis process for a more efficient turnaround time.

This is deemed a single source purchase because CAAS Cube Automated Analysis System and corresponding CAAS Cube operating software is solely distributed and supported by Gold Standard Diagnostics and is not available from other third parties.
