Description:

The County Commissioners of Caroline County, on behalf of the Caroline County Department of Planning and Codes, are accepting proposals for the construction of stormwater management, climate resilience & water quality improvements within the drainage basin on Pealiquor Road, Denton, Maryland, including:

  • Construction of 450 linear feet of bioswale along the east side of Pealiquor Road.
  • Installation of two (2) 57 ft. long by 15-inch diameter RCP pipes under Pealiquor Road.
  • Construction of a 1.5-acre stormwater wetland system.
  • Installation of two (2) earthen check dams downstream of the proposed stormwater wetland system.
  • Removal and replacement of two (2) 18-inch diameter CMP pipes on Canninghouse Alley Right of Way
  • Pond restoration that includes 20 ft. wide bench planting shelves, dredging of 300 cu. yds. of organic silts, slope plantings, and remediating water leakage of pond outlet pipe.

A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, @ 10:00 am on-site at 24656 Pealiquor Road in Denton, Maryland . After the Pre-Bid meeting, a site walk-through of all proposed work areas will be held. This is the bidders' opportunity to enter the private property during the bidding process. Bids must be received in the offices of the Caroline County Commissioners, County Courthouse located at 109 Market Street, Denton, Maryland 21629, by no later than Wednesday, March 26th @ 10:00 where they will be publicly opened and read aloud. The County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any/or all bids.
