PROJECT TITLE: SOUTH BROADWAY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS
Separate sealed BIDS for the South Broadway Sewer Improvements and other related work as set forth in the
Contract documents, will be received by the J-U-B Engineers at 400 Memorial Drive, Idaho Falls, Idaho until 2:00
p.m. local time on February 3rd, 2026 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
DESCRIPTION: The South Broadway Sewer Improvements Project consists of installing approximately 1,150
linear feet of 10-inch and 900 linear feet of 8-inch diameter underground sanitary sewer pipeline starting near the
intersection of South Broadway Street and West Walker Street and ending near the intersection of South Broadway
Street and Minor Street. Four 8-inch diameter underground sanitary sewer pipelines will be installed from the
mainline in South Broadway Street to service the residential and commercial units. Two 8-inch diameter
underground sanitary sewer pipelines will be installed and stubbed to adjacent property owners for future
connection. Approximately 2,200 linear feet of existing underground sanitary sewer pipeline will be abandoned in
place due to the new improvements. As part of this project, South Broadway Street will be sawcut and replaced with
new asphalt.
It is the intent of these documents to describe the work required to complete this project in sufficient detail to secure
comparable bids. All parts or work not specifically mentioned which are necessary in order to provide a complete
installation shall be included in the bid and shall conform to all Local, State and Federal requirements.
The Project Documents may be obtained electronically from J-U-B Engineers Inc. between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. M-TH, and 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, in Idaho Falls at 400 Memorial Drive, Idaho Falls, Idaho
83402 or by calling 208-932-4486. Paper hard copies of these documents will not be provided. Obtain documents
from J-U-B Engineers to ensure you are on the list of plan holders for future addenda.
In determining the lowest responsive bid, the Owner will consider all acceptable bids on a basis consistent with the
bid package. The Owner will also consider whether the bidder is a responsible bidder.
Before a contract will be awarded for work contemplated herein, the Owner will conduct such investigation as is
necessary to determine the performance record and ability of the apparent low bidder to perform the size and type of
work specified under this Contract. Upon request, the bidder shall submit such information as deemed necessary by
the Owner to evaluate the bidder’s qualifications.
All bids must be signed and accompanied by evidence of authority to sign.
Bids must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, cashiers check or cash in the
amount of 5% of the amount of the bid proposal. Said bid security may be forfeited to the Owner should the
successful bidder fail to enter into contract in accordance with their proposal as specified in the Instructions to
Bidders.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bids received,
and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the best interest of the Owner.
