Description

Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide a Mobile Veterinary Surgical Unit Trailer ¿ Turnkey Solution to the University of Georgia (the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP.
The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers to provide one turnkey mobile veterinary surgical unit trailer designed exclusively for small animal surgical procedures. The procurement includes the design refinement, manufacture, equipment integration, delivery, graphics installation, training, warranty coverage, and support services necessary to provide a fully operational and road ready unit.
This is anticipated to be a single award procurement involving the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. The University is seeking a proven, stock or standard mobile surgical platform that can be refined to meet UGA¿s operational needs rather than a fully custom development project. Suppliers are encouraged to submit proposals because this opportunity allows vendors to provide an established solution with some customization requirements while partnering with a flagship public university and a top 10 nationally ranked veterinary program. The University seeks a best value solution emphasizing functionality, workflow efficiency, reliability, vendor experience, and long term support services.
The scope of the procurement includes one mobile surgical trailer equipped with surgical and prep areas, integrated medical equipment, utility systems, surgical lighting, anesthesia systems, and applicable safety and compliance features. The awarded supplier will participate in a collaborative design review process to finalize layouts, finishes, equipment configurations, and optional features prior to fabrication and delivery.
