The KY Department of Education (KDE) is seeking a qualified individual or company to conduct investigations on behalf of the Commissioner of Education as provided in KRS Chapter 156 and the Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB).
The Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB) is charged with establishing standards of performance both for preparation programs and practitioners, and with issuing, renewing, suspending, and revoking educator certificates issued under KRS 161.010 to 161.100 for violations of KRS 161.120. Disciplinary proceedings carried out by EPSBs legal staff are initiated upon a report of professional misconduct of the educator as provided under KRS 161.120.
In 2022, EPSB received 754 reports, in 2023; 715 reports and in 2024; 568 reports. EPSB is seeking a qualified individual or company to conduct investigations into matters involving reports of professional misconduct of educators.
KDE reserves the right to award multiple contracts.
