Background and Purpose
McMaster University invites qualified suppliers to submit responses for the provision of International Student Recruitment Services in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Request for Proposal.
Bidders are welcome to bid for one or multiple of the services listed in Section 1.2.
Scope/Objective
McMaster continues to focus its undergraduate international recruitment efforts on key regions, including China, India and the Middle East. To support these initiatives, the University is seeking proposals for the following services listed below. Proponents have the option of bidding on one region, multiple or all regions listed. The number of representatives required varies by region, as indicated below:
1. One (1) in-country representative based in India, preferably in Delhi or Mumbai; supporting the university’s student recruitment effort primarily in India, but also offer support for countries such as Nepal, Bangladesh. Other countries may be added based on the need of the university.
2. One (1) in-country representative based in UAE, preferably in Dubai; supporting the university’s student recruitment effort primarily across the Middle East and Pakistan. Other countries may be added based on the need of the university.
3. Two (2) in-country representatives based in China: One (1) in Beijing, and one (1) in Shanghai/Guangzhou); supporting the university’s student recruitment effort primarily in China. Other countries within Asia may be added based on the need of the university.
Digital marketing service in China. The Proponent shall provide ongoing digital marketing services in China, including social media support, website development, online marketing campaigns or other marketing activities as mutually agreed.
For Services No. 1, 2 and 3 above, the in-country representatives will provide prospects and applicants with year-round access to services and support throughout the recruitment, application, and admission cycle. The partner should provide Human Resource and market-intelligence support to these recruitment professionals. In addition, the in-country representatives will work solely with McMaster University and final hiring decisions of each of these representatives will be made by McMaster.
For Service No.4; McMaster currently operates a Chinese microsite, WeChat and Weibo accounts. Contents are created by the McMaster team but the license to operate the account, monthly management, posting/update of information is currently provided by a vendor. In addition, regular reporting that offers analytics and insights for improvement is also part of our current service model.
Note: The University is currently engaged in working relationships with several in-country representatives. The successful bidder must be willing to hire these individuals, should they express interest in working with McMaster, and if the University chooses to maintain the existing relationships.
