Project Description: Lower Frederick Township (LFT) of 53 Spring Mount Road, Schwenksville, PA 19473 will be receiving bids online via PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/) for the furnishing of equipment and labor on an hourly basis for asphalt surface treatment of local roads. Equipment is detailed in the Schedule of Equipment and includes but is not limited to:
20’ Computerized Chip Spreader, 20’ Computerized Asphalt Spreader, 9 wheel pneumatic rubber tire roller, Tri-Axle Dump Truck with chipping bars, and specified sweepers.
Bid documents and information for bidders may be obtained from PennBid on/after 1/8/2025. Any inquiries must be uploaded to PennBid by 5 pm on 1/21/2025.
Proposals must be submitted online via PennBid no later than January 28, 2025 at 5 PM. Bids will be opened 1/28/2025 at 6:30 PM at LFT. Award to the lowest responsible Bidder is anticipated during the LFT public meeting 2/4/2025 at 7 pm.
Bids must be made on the forms furnished within PennBid and must be accompanied by bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, payable to LFT. The successful bidder shall be bound to furnish a completed E-Verify form, certificate of insurance naming the Township as additional insured, and furnish and pay for a Performance Bond as further described in the contract documents, on bond forms acceptable to LFT. Bidders must be prequalified for work class F4 by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Award of each Contract, if awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, however LFT reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding. Bids may be held by LFT for a period not to exceed sixty days from the date of the opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
