Project Description: Sealed Bids will be received online by Robesonia Municipal Authority until 10:00 AM local time on February 5, 2024. Online bids shall be submitted by way of the PennBid Program. Paper bids will not be accepted for this project. All documents and solicitation details are available online at no cost except to the successful bidder at PennBid – https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com. Bidders assume responsibility that their Bid is received prior to the designated bid opening time and date.
The Work to be performed for the project includes supplying all labor, equipment, and materials for the replacement and relocation of an exposed sanitary sewer line due to erosion of the Spring Creek stream bank. The existing line will be abandoned in place, approximately 429 linear feet of 15-inch PVC sewer pipe will be installed, and two existing manholes will be replaced with precast concrete manholes. Temporary construction measures will include the installation of a rock construction entrance, wetlands matting, and other erosion and sedimentation controls to minimize environmental impact during the work. Additional alternate work may include trench reinforcement between the pipe and Spring Creek for stability. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be scheduled at a later date.
Bidders assume responsibility that their Bid is received prior to the designated bid opening time and date. Each Proposal for the Project shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form provided by the Contract Documents, drawn to the order of the Robesonia Municipal Authority, and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the extended Bid Amount, as a guarantee that if the Proposal is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and the performance thereby properly secured.
Attention is called to the fact that prevailing minimum wage rates as determined by the Secretary of the Department of Labor and Industry must be paid by the Contractors on this project and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. Each Bidder is required to meet the requirements of Public Works Employment Verification Act, Act 127 of 2012.
The Robesonia Municipal Authority, Owner, hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to refuse and reject any or all bids submitted, to waive any informality in bids received, and to accept the Bid, which is in the best interest of the Authority, consistent with the laws affecting municipal contract awards.
