Responses to Questions received regarding Problematic Sexualized Behavior (PSB) Individual and Group
Therapy RFP JUV-27-CB-02-003:
1. Which Vendors submitted a letter of intent?
Q1 Answer: Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center
2. Which Vendors submitted questions?
Q2 Answer: Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center
3. Are there any other similar programs being held in the state, if so, where and who provides?
Q3 Answer: JCS D5 is currently procuring a similar program and has issued an intent to award
the contract to Woodward Youth Corporation. JCS D6 currently has a similar program provided
by Four Oaks.
4. How many psychosexual evals do you anticipate per year?
Q4 Answer: Psychosexual evaluations have been removed from this RFP, please see
Amendment 1 of the RFP for the updated requirements.
5. The RFP states that Psychosexual Evaluations/ Assessments must be provided within 30 days of
the request by the referring JCO. Due to scheduling with the client and possibly multiple
sessions (3 for Psychosexual Evaluations), this is not feasible. Could this be changed to 45 days
after final client interview?
Q5 Answer: Evaluations and Assessments have been removed from this RFP, please see
Amendment 1 of the RFP for the updated requirements.
6. The RFP states that acceptable assessments can include, but are not limited to ERASOR, J-SOAP-
II, and JSORRAT-II. Are these required or preferred?
Q6 Answer: Assessments have been removed from this RFP, please see Amendment 1 of the
RFP for the updated requirements.
7. In the cost proposal there is not an option to charge for the eval. How would we bid that? Does
that rate need to be calculated into the unit price? Since not every youth needs a psychosexual
evaluation, it seems costly to include in the unit price.
Q7 Answer: Evaluations have been removed from this RFP, please see Amendment 1 of the RFP
for the updated requirements.
8. Atsa recommends not doing poly-graph tests on anyone under the age of 18; please see
attached information. Why is this a requirement of the contract? Is JCS willing to strike this from
the RFP?
Q8 Answer: Polygraph testing has been removed from this RFP, please see Amendment 1 of the
RFP for the updated requirements.
