Geotechnical Engineering

Project Description: The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to solicit sealed statements from a firm(s) for selection of a Geotechnical Engineer on behalf of The El Paso County Hospital District d/b/a University Medical Center of El Paso (“Hospital District, University Medical Center of El Paso, UMC, Owner, or Hospital”). The services contemplated under this solicitation are for full scope Geotechnical Engineering to implement projects included within the UMC 2025 General Obligation Bond Implementation Program. The intent of the Geotechnical Engineering is to understand the existing conditions and gather sufficient information for the design of building foundations and other soil relate elements for construction of the projects.
The intent is to engage the qualified Geotechnical Engineer(s) to work under the direction of the Assistant Administrator of Planning, Design and Construction through the completion of the Projects. The Assistant Administrator of Planning, Design and Construction is responsible for the overall management of the 2025 UMC General Obligation Bond Implementation Program including contract administration, coordination with other UMC Team members, community/education, communication with Stakeholders, etc.
