starting August 5, 2026 at 9:00 AM. The Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit will be held at the project site on the road right-of-way near 42/49 Westcliff Road on August 12, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. It is recommended that all prospective bidders have a representative in attendance.
Bidders shall possess a demonstrated expertise in drainage improvements projects including projects of similar size and magnitude and submit a minimum of five references for such similar projects completed within the last five years. The Bidder shall also possess a record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget. The work to be done under this contract consists of furnishing all necessary labor, materials and equipment required for storm drainage system improvements in the Town right-of-way located near 42 and 49 Westcliff Road in Weston, Massachusetts. The work includes the removal of existing storm drainage system piping and replacement with approximately 8 LF of 8” HDPE drain pipe, approximately 40 LF of 12” RCP drain pipe and two (2) associated drainage structures. All work incidental thereto, including but not limited to temporary pavement restoration, in accordance with the terms of the contract and the requirements of these specifications and the accompanying plans, and other related work as shown on the Contract Drawing. Also, provision of safety controls and signing for construction operations and other incidental items included in the contract documents.
The successful Bidder will be required to provide a labor and materials payment bond issued by a company authorized to do business in Massachusetts and satisfactory to the Awarding Authority, in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Amount if it exceeds $25,000.
All bids for this project are subject to applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts, including G.L. c.30 §39M, as amended. Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid as determined by the Department of Labor and Workforce Development under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 and 27D inclusive.
The Town reserves the right to reject any bid or portion of a bid, to waive any informality in a bid, and to award the contract by items or in total to the responsible and eligible bidder who offers the lowest price as shall be deemed in the best interest of the Town.
