The Town of Manchester Water and Sewer Department is seeking a capable and reliable contractor to provide calibration, repair, and maintenance services for ozone monitors and analyzers at the Globe Hollow Water Treatment Plant, located at 125 Spring Street, Manchester, CT 06045.
The Manchester Water and Sewer Department operates water and wastewater treatment facilities serving Manchester, Connecticut, and portions of Glastonbury and surrounding towns. The water system includes 16,500 domestic service lines, 1,047 fire and irrigation services, and delivers an average of 5 million gallons of water daily. The water supply consists of seven reservoir impoundments and ten groundwater wells, with a total capacity of 9.8 million gallons per day. The distribution system comprises approximately 260 miles of water mains, ten storage tanks, and five pumping stations. Water from reservoirs is treated at the Globe Hollow Water Treatment Plant using processes including ozonation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, chlorination, pH adjustment, fluoridation, and corrosion control. Ozone monitors and analyzers are critical to the ozonation process, requiring precise calibration and maintenance to ensure operational reliability and compliance with regulatory standards.
