NOTICE INVITING BIDS PURSUANT TO PUBLIC CONTRACT CODE 22000, ET SEQ.

(THE UNIFORM PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION COST ACCOUNTING ACT)

Notice is hereby given that the Fresno Unified School DISTRICT (“DISTRICT”) will receive sealed bids for Bid No. 26-14 , Edison Bethune Charter Academy Shade Structure and Site Improvements , installation of new steel shade structure, concrete flatwork, fencing and landscaping .

Prime Contractor must have a valid Class “B” Contractor’s License.

The time allowed for completion for the project shall be 90 Calendar days.

The Architect/Engineers’ estimate for this project is around $425,000 (estimate as of August 2025)

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference was held at 10:00 AM, September 16, 2025 in front of the Administration Office at Edison Bethune Charter Academy, 1616 S. Fruit Avenue, Fresno CA 93706 . Contractors bidding as a Prime Contractor for the project must have attended in order for their bid to be “responsive”.

We have added a second opportunity for Prime Contractors to attend a MANDATORY Pre-bid conference on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 10:00 AM in front of the Administration Office at Edison Bethune Charter Academy. Attendance of this meeting will only be required for firms who were unable to join the first conference. Prime Contractors interested in responding to this bid must attend one of the two conferences in order to have their bid accepted as responsive. Immediately following the pre-bid conference will be a mandatory job-walk of the site.

All visitors must check-in at the school office using our visitor management system which requires ID verification via government-issued identification card or driver’s license to receive a badge and enter the campus. Bidders may arrive earlier than the scheduled time to obtain their badge.

Sealed Bids were previously required to be submitted prior to 2:00 P.M. on September 30, 2025 . The deadline to submit sealed bids has been extended to be received prior to 2:00 P.M. on October 08, 2025, on Procureware, the DISTRICT’s online bidding portal,after which time the bids will be opened and bid results posted.

Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or a bidder’s bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of total bids made payable to Fresno Unified.

Bid documents may be downloaded at no charge from the district’s bidding portal, Procureware, at: https://fresnousdpurchasing.procureware.com/home. All bids must be submitted through the portal. Refer questions to Marisa Thibodeaux marisa.thibodeaux@fresnounified.org .

The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or any combination of bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities which may be legally waived.
