Solicitation Description:

The Statewide Procurement Division (SPD), a division of CPA, requests sealed responses for Emergency Ground Support Equipment Rental, Contingency.

The major customer for these items and services is the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM).

These services and commodities are required for all-hazards emergency preparedness and response and may be simultaneously dispatched to one or more locations throughout the state of Texas prior to, during, or after an incident or event occurs. All-hazards planning and preparedness addresses natural, technological, adversarial, or human caused incidents or events.

CPA and TDEM particularly seek to prepare for events like the recent natural disaster Hurricane Harvey, which in 2017 inflicted $125 billion in damages and displaced over 30,000 people. Historically, the services requested under this RFP are used by the Customer for periods ranging from 4 days to 6 weeks, but the duration is dependent upon the scale and scope of the emergency. Therefore, rental periods may be required for both short and long durations, as needed.
