Sealed bids from qualified contractors for construction of A NEW PLAZA FOR THE ADDITION AND RENOVATION TO AN EXISTING FACILITY, FORMERLY THE MARION HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASIUM LOCATED AT 114 MILITARY RD, MARION, AR 72364 TO SERVE AS THE NEW SULTANA DISASTER MUSEUM will be received by THE SULTANA HISTORICAL PRESERVATION SOCIETY AT THE CITY OF MARION CITY HALL ANNEX LOCATED AT 13 E MILITARY ROAD, MARION AR 72364 until 2:00 PM CT, OCTOBER 7, 2025 and then at said location publicly opened and read aloud.
Licensure is not required to submit a bid; however, evidence of licensure shall be provided to the Owner prior to signing the contract.
BIDDERS ARE ADVISED that Arkansas State Contractor Licensing Law applies to this project. Subcontractors are also required to be licensed according to Arkansas State Law. Licensure is not required to submit a bid; however, evidence of licensure shall be provided to the Owner prior to signing the contract.
THE PRE-BID CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD AT 54 E MILITARY RD, MARION, AR 72364 ON September 18, 2025 AT 1:00 PM CT.
The scope of work consists of SULTANA DISASTER MUSEUM PLAZA construction. Instruction to Bidders, ARDOT grant requirements, Bid and Contract Forms, Plans, Specifications, and other contract documents may be examined and obtained at MEMPHIS REPROGRAPHICS, 6178 MACON ROAD, MEMPHIS, TN 38134,
(901) 381-9811 beginning September 15, 2025.
The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Bidders may not withdraw their bids within 30 days after the date of bid opening and must provide bid bonds as required. All bidding processes shall be in accordance with State law.
The CITY OF MARION, AR hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply.
Build America, Buy America provisions apply to this project.
