ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The City of Cabot will receive bids for 2025 Asphalt Overlay Improvements Project until 10:00 a.m. Central Standard Time on September 30, 2025 in the City Clerk’s Office – 101 N 2nd Street, Cabot, AR 72023, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Deliver/mail plans to the attention of Nina Williams, Assistant to the Mayor at the address listed above.
The major improvements for the project will generally consist of the following:
1. Asphalt overlay of Diederich Lane, Countrywood Street, South Adams, 8th Street, Deer Creek, Douglas Road, Sun Terrace Drive, Seven Point Lane, Collins Street, Kelly Court, Kristy Lane, Spotted Fawn Lane, Red Doe Cove, and Buck Ridge Cove. Cypress Point Street, Shenandoah Way, and Kingwood Circle are included as Add Alternatives.
A Project Manual including but not limited to Information For Bidders, Bid Form, Contract, Bonding Requirements, Special Provisions, and Technical Specifications may be obtained from Southern Reprographics, Inc. at (501) 372-4011 or www.southernrepro.com
A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Cabot, Arkansas, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total of bid shall be submitted with each bid.
The successful bidder must be in compliance with the requirements of Act 150 of 1965, effective July 9, 1965, subject to any subsequent amendments, which is the current Arkansas State Licensing Law for Contractors to execute a construction contract with the City of Cabot.
The City of Cabot hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply.
The City of Cabot reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in bidding to the extent allowed by law. Bids may be held by the City of Cabot for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days following opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract.
