Main Street Revitalization Pilot Program for City of Irving

The City of Irving is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to design and implement a pilot program in downtown Irving. The primary goal is to gather public input to help shape the future use of this area enhancing the pedestrian experience along this section of Main Street. By incorporating principles of tactical urbanism through temporary street closures, traffic and parking studies, design, art, and creative programming, the program will explore opportunities for Main Street to become a dynamic hub for community life, entertainment, and local businesses. The program will launch with a kickoff weekend event featuring programmed activities, followed by the implementation of applicable program elements throughout a designated period not to exceed three months.
