Introduction
The Health and Human Services Commission (“Owner”), for and on behalf of its Health and Specialty Care System Division (“HSCS”), is soliciting Competitive Sealed Proposals (“Proposals”) for selection of a General Contractor (“Contractor”) to provide general construction and construction administration services to the Owner for Project No.24-128-BLC, Chiller Renovation at Brenham State Supported Living Center (the “Project”), in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Solicitation.

Project Summary: The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Rehabilitation of the existing chilled water system for Brenham State Supported Living Center Building 507. The project corrects flow considerations involving best practices and manufacturer recommendations in chilled water systems including maintaining the minimum flow through the air cooled chiller and system volume to maintain thermal mass in the system and preventing short-cycling to help longevity of the existing equipment.
For complete Project information, refer to Attachment H-1, Project Drawings and Attachment H-2, Project Specifications, to Exhibit C.
Project Estimate: The approximate cost for construction of the Project is $200,000.00.

Mandatory Facility Site Visit and Walk Through Logistical Information
All Respondents are required to attend one Facility Site Visit as specified in Section 2.2 (Schedule of Events). Failure to attend in person will result in the disqualification of a Respondent. Proposals received from Respondents not listed on the attendance log will not be considered. Potential Respondents must be prepared to complete one of the scheduled tours; additional tours will not be offered.
