Description
REQUIREMENT
The World War II (WWII) Hut is a single story, 1000 sq. ft. gable roof wood-framed building that was originally built in 1939 and is located at Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Site. Due to age, leaks, and a lack of accessibility, Parks Canada is seeking a contractor to rehabilitate the WWII Hut washrooms. The awarded contractor will fully renovate the interior of the building into modern inclusive washrooms including new plumbing, HVAC, electrical, interior walls, floors and floor framing, fixtures, and finishes. The awarded contractor will also complete some work on the exterior of the building including restoration of the heritage windows and doors, regrading, exterior utilities, and repair and replacement of wood lap siding.
TWO STAGE SELECTION PROCESS
This posting is the Stage Two of a two-stage solicitation process: the first stage was to evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers. The second stage (Stage Two) is to invite the qualified suppliers to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings.
Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid.
Potential and interested sub-contractors are invited to add their company’s name under the section “Partner with another business”
The estimated contract period will be 7 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/08/22.
