At the Terminal Island Water Reclamation Plant (TIWRP)
♦ For the 6 primary treatment tanks:
♦♦ Replace sludge & scum collection system including:
♦♦♦ pumps
♦♦♦ chains
♦♦♦ flights
♦♦ Automate tank influent gates (3 per tank)
♦♦ Install 3 spool pipes per tank (18 total)
♦ Install new manual slide gate on tank 6.
Also:
♦ Perform structural repairs & improvements to concrete.
♦ Install new automated venturi bypass gate w/passive overflow weir.
♦ Install tie-in locations on the deck at the perimeter of the tanks for personnel safety
⁂ Notes:
→ Remediation will be required for Lead-Based Paint & Asbestos
→ Some of the equipment for this project is sole-sourced
→ There is an "as-bid" Building Information Model (BIM) available for the project. See the specs for details, including how to access it.
→ The job walk for this project is mandatory for all bidders
