OFNDS Community Resource Room RFA

The purpose of this RFA is to offer grant funding for faith-based and not-for-profit (NFP) organizations interested in supporting the development of Community Resource Rooms (CRRs) providing public access to essential technologies such as computers, Wi-Fi, and audio/video equipment. Funded services are intended to remove barriers for people who need technology resources, including telehealth appointments, career advancement services, remote educational opportunities, social services applications or other computer access needs.

Since its creation in November of 2023, the New York State Office of Faith & Nonprofit Development Services (OFNDS) has stood as a beacon of support and resources for faith-based and NFP organizations across the State. At its core, OFNDS seeks to empower faith-based and NFP organizations by providing essential information, facilitating access to state grants, and enhancing organizational capacities. This RFA will create and enhance community access to computer and technology resources.

This RFA will make up to 46 awards available to provide for CRR development and implementation. Grants will be awarded in the ten Economic Development Regions (Regions) across New York State.
