Sealed proposals will be received by Rachel Carl, Clerk of said City, at the City of La Vista, City Hall, 8116
Parkview Boulevard, La Vista, NE 68128, until 10:00 AM on the 11th day of April 2025 for the reconstruction
of storm sewer piping, concrete panel repair, and reconstruction of the speed zone beacon. At such hour, or
as soon as practicable thereafter, the City of La Vista will proceed to publicly open in the presence of all
bidders and consider the bids received for the furnishing of such labor, materials, and equipment necessary
for the proper construction of such improvements. The extent of the work consists of the construction or other
effectuation of the items listed below and other related preparatory and subsidiary work from issuance of the
Notice to Proceed:
All work called for in the drawings and specifications shall be furnished in strict accordance with the drawings
and specifications prepared by the City of La Vista Public Works Department.
Each bid shall be accompanied in a SEPARATE SEALED ENVELOPE by a certified check or bid bond in an
amount of not less than five percent of the amount bid and such certified check or bid bond shall be payable
to the Treasurer of the City of La Vista, Nebraska as security that the bidder to whom the contract may be
awarded will enter into a contract to build the improvement in accordance with this Notice to Contractors and
will give a contract and maintenance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract price. No bidder may
withdraw his proposal for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. The City of La
Vista reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
The City of La Vista, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C 2000d
to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office the
Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation
issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidden that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract
entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to
submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color,
or national origin, sex, age and disability/handicap in consideration for an award.
