Overview
Summary

Nestled between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale, Hollywood, Florida is known for its beautiful stretch of beach, perfect for a beach vacation. With oceanfront hotels and resorts, you will find the perfect accommodation for a weekend getaway or staycation. You can find unique shopping, beachfront restaurants, and bars along Hollywood's Broadwalk, in addition to yearlong activities, water sports, and live music. This brick-paved thoroughfare hosts pedestrians, joggers, bicyclists, rollerbladers, and millions of visitors every year. The promenade also features the Hollywood Beach Theatre, a children’s water playground at Charnow Park, public art displays, and many other attractions. Hollywood Beach also offers dozens of luxury hotels and condominiums such as the Diplomat Resort & Spa Hollywood, Trump Hollywood, and Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort.

The City of Hollywood, FL ("City") invites proposals from qualified firms, partnerships, and or individuals, hereinafter referred to as "Contractor", to enter into a License Agreement on Hollywood Beach, hereinafter referred to as "Beach". This RFP process aims to select a Contractor and execute a License Agreement to operate a sustainable beach equipment concession and water recreation rentals at the Beach. This opportunity will provide a Contractor access to approximately 3 miles of Beach to provide services to the public, hotel guests, and condo residents. The selected Contractor will represent itself along with the City, on one of America's Best Beach Broadwalk by Travel + Leisure Magazine.

Background

The successful Contractor must demonstrate both previous experience and financial capability to provide the services outlined in this RFP. The selected partnership is expected to deliver a respectable, professional, and customer service–driven experience for all beachgoers.

The shared use of public beach space between concessionaire customers and the general public must be managed reasonably and equitably. The specific number and type of rental equipment, storage units, and rental locations will be discussed during negotiations with the selected Contractor. Final decisions regarding quantity, type, and location will be subject to City approval.

The City expects the awarded Contractor to manage the entire designated area within the RFP limits with a high level of professionalism and customer service.
