The East Services Branch, Health Readiness Contracting Office (HRCO), Joint Base San Antonio, Fort Sam Houston, TX is issuing this Solicitation to inform industry contractors of the Government’s intent to execute a Sole Source Award to Mirion Technologies (Canberra) Inc., 800 Research PKWY Meriden, CT 06450-7127, utilizing the authority of Title 41 U.S.C. §1901(e)(2) as implemented in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization.
The contractor shall supply the Series 6LB gas flow detector with Apex-Alpha/Beta software. Requirement is for the Department of Defense (DOD) Food Analysis and Diagnostic Laboratory, Fort Sam Houston, Texas 78234.
See attached solicitation. In accordance with FAR 13.105(c), action is NOT a brand name restriction and is under $250K, no justification posting required.
