Summary Details
The City of Nanaimo is looking for a Consultant with expertise in:
-
Stormwater modelling using SWMM software.
-
Spatial data management and ArcGIS.
-
Detailed stormwater design and planning to complete a Stormwater study for the Cat Stream Drainage Catchment (CSDC).
The City of Nanaimo would like proponents to respond to the Request for Proposal (RFP) in order to develop the project work plan, schedule, and budgets necessary to:

Prepare a storm model for the identified catchment.
-
Prepare risk assessment of the storm infrastructure for the CSDC.
-
Develop a Master Plan for the CSDC.
-
Review and update existing Development Cost Charges (DCC) stormwater projects.
All design work shall be done as per the latest City of Nanaimo’s Manual of Engineering Standards and Specifications and accepted engineering practices.
Budget:
The maximum budget allocated for this project is $150,000, excluding PST and the Optional Work.
Optional Work
At the City’s discretion, the Consultant may be requested to complete Optional Work, which includes developing a prioritization matrix and prioritizing the 35 drainage catchments within the City for future storm drainage studies.
This Request for Proposal is subject to the New West Partnership Trade Agreement, the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (Chapter 5), and the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (Chapter 19).
