Proposals will be publicly opened and read at the office of the City Manager, 209 South Main Street, Marysville, Ohio 43040 at 1:00 p.m., Local Time, on June 3, 2025 for the construction of:
Warner Road Utility Extensions, Phase 2
The project consists of the following:
This project entails the extension of sanitary and water along Warner Road and future Houchard Rd.
The sanitary sewer extension will pick up where Phase 1 ended just West of the Amazon Data Service Center. The sewer will run west along Warner Rd on the South side for approximately 1,050-feet to the future Houchard Rd intersection. The sewer will then run south of Warner Rd through the existing field for approximately 2,300-feet.
The water main will be extended West along Warner Road from the terminus of the existing 12” water main on the North side of the road, West of the existing Amazon Data Service Center. The water main will be extended approximately 630-feet along Warner Road ending at the future intersection of Houchard Rd. The Water will then run South through the existing field for approximately 2,300-feet.
The Bidding Documents are available online at www.bidexpress.com. The City has adopted the electronic bidding process in an effort to make the bidding process more efficient and cost effective for both the contractor and the City.
There will be a Pre-Bid Meeting held VIRTUALLY on May 21st, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. A link to this virtually held meeting can be found on Bid Express. Following the Pre-Bid Meeting, prospective Bidders are encouraged to inspect the project area and existing facilities.
All formal bids shall be submitted using the electronic bidding process on Bid Express. All potential bidders must first register on
www.bidexpress.com
and create an Info Tech Digital ID for free, which is used to digitally sign bids. The creation of Digital IDs/Signatures assures the City knows the creator of the bid (forgery resistance), ensures that nobody can alter a bid (non-repudiation), prevents bid disclosure to unauthorized parties (secrecy) and safeguards that authorized parties cannot access the bid prior to the public opening (sealing). It can take up to seven (7) business days to process your Digital ID. Please plan accordingly.
Bidders shall provide proof of qualifications, to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders, and complete the Best Bidder Information Form provided.
Bidders shall comply with all statutory requirements in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
All Bids must include payment of wages at prevailing wage rates pursuant to Ohio Revised Code (ORC), Section 4115-15 and shall comply with the provisions, duties and obligations of ORC Section 4115. Further information provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
Each Bidder must deposit with its Bid, a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a bond for an amount of 100% of the Bid if in the form of a Bid Guaranty or in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid if in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or irrevocable letter of credit, for and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders and pursuant with ORC Section 153.54, 153.57 and 153.571. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety or via the electronic bid bond options available on bidexpress.com.
