Addenda: 0
Release Date: 7/3/2025
Due Date: 7/23/2025
Under the terms of this bid, the bidder shall be capable of providing services for the restoration of the Sludge Cake Storage Bin #3 located at the Southerly Wastewater Treatment Center (SWWTC) Renewable Energy Facility (REF). The Sludge Cake Storage Bin #3 was installed and has been in use since 2011. This equipment is an integral part of the continuous sludge dewatering process as it provides storage for the sludge cake. The sludge cake storage bin has shown significant wear and corrosion. To prevent further damage, deterioration, and loss of the steel shell, this contract will include cleaning, sandblasting of rust and other deleterious materials, and recoating the silo’s interior sides and roof to extend the equipment's life.
SWWTC is the largest of the Sewer District's wastewater treatment plants and is located at 6000 Canal Road, Cuyahoga Heights, Ohio. SWWTC serves a population of more than 601,000 in the Greater Cleveland area with an average daily flow of 125 million gallons per day (mgd). The facility can provide complete treatment to a maximum of 400 mgd, and an additional 335 mgd of wastewater can receive primary treatment. The plant receives wastewater 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
The project is to be completed within 90 days of the start date. By submission of this bid, the bidder warrants that it is understood that this estimate was prepared by the Sewer District for the purpose of comparison of bids and that the estimated quantity is not guaranteed. SWWTC is in operation seven (7) days per week, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Site Inspections must be scheduled and completed by 2:00 pm on Friday, July 11, 2025.
