Solicitation Description:


The City of San Marcos issoliciting sealed bids to be received in the Office of the Purchasing Manager, Municipal Complex, 630 E. Hopkins St., San Marcos, TX 78666, as outlined below:


Solicitation Number: IFB 2025-056                                    Police Station Improvements

Scope of Project: Includes butis not limited to demolition and complete reconstruction of the PoliceDepartment training driving track, concrete demolition and footing installationfor a pre-engineering metal building canopy structure, installation ofapproximately 260 ft of conduit to power future gates (by others) and sitepreparation of the existing shooting range for installation of a future bullettrap (by others) including all required concrete and electric work at the SanMarcos Police Station. The estimated construction cost for this project is $1,657,787.

Bidders must submit acashier’s check, certified check, or acceptable bidder’s bond with their bid inthe amount of five percent (5%) of the bid submitted.


A non-mandatory pre-bid video conferencewill be held on February 11, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., Local Time. Requests for access to video conference must be submitted to RShelton@sanmarcostx.gov at least 30 minutes prior to the pre-bid videoconference.


Bids must be received in the Office of the Purchasing Manager, Building 3, 630 E. Hopkins St.,San Marcos, TX 78666, no later than March 6, 2025, at 2:00 P.M., Local Time,and will be conducted via videoconferencing. Teams meeting link is included in solicitation.

Award is scheduled for the May 6, 2025, City Council meeting at 6:00p.m. or any subsequent time unless otherwise rescheduled.
