• Negotiated Request for Proposal
The Town of Stony Plain is seeking a qualified consultant to provide consulting services to undertake a Growth Management Strategy (“GMS”).
The purpose of this project is to:
1. assess the Town’s long term urban land requirements;
2. determine how to ensure a stable supply of development ready land is available to accommodate Stony Plain’s future population relating to both residents and jobs; and
3. indicate where this future growth should be located.
The study will consider where residential and employment lands should be located, allocating appropriate density targets across the town, and implementation of phasing policies of infrastructure and planning documents to ensure a stable supply of development ready land.
This work will support future growth-focused planning projects including updates to the Town’s Municipal Development Plan, off-site levy model, numerous master plans and other strategies and policies, which guide the physical form and development of the town.
The budget for this project is a maximum of $90,000 CAD, with the final strategy to be completing by March 2026.
