The Town of Amherst is inviting sealed bids for backflow testing and cross connection survey services. Invitations for Bids may be obtained online at
www.amherstma.gov/bids
.
Bids shall be submitted no later than 2:00PM on Monday, December 15, 2025, to the Town of Amherst’s Accountant’s Office where the bids will be publicly opened and recorded at that time.
The Town of Amherst reserves the right to reject any and all bids in whole or in part, and to waive informalities, when at its sole discretion is deemed to be in the best interests of the Town and to the extent permitted by law.

Contractor shall demonstrate a minimum of five years of experience in testing of backflow prevention devices for municipalities and must submit a list of references with the bid.

Special Requirements:
|
|
Contractor shall employ Certified Backflow Prevention Device Testers in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. All certifications must remain valid during the period of this contract.
Contractor shall employ Certified Cross Connection Surveyors in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. All certifications must remain valid during the period of this contract.
