The Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific) hereby publicizes its award of a Commercial, Firm-Fixed-Price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with Intel Federal, (CAGE code: 6SSB2) of Fairfax, VA.
This purpose of this procurement is to provide a security enhancement of the DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency)/Project Pronto awarded under BAA #N6523621S0001, Focus Area FA02, Topic TA06, "Enabling Differentiated Security by Endto-end 5G Network Slicing".

This effort will deliver security enhancements to the Project Pronto system through the use of an O-RAN(Open-Radio Access Network: O-RAN ALLIANCE e.V) based disaggregated radio from srsRAN (https://www.srslte.com/5g), the introduction of new 3GPP (general purpose processor) features such as supporting interworking between untrusted non-3GPP network and the 5G core through N3IWF (Non-3GPP Interworking Function), AI/ML (Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning) based edge services, security enhancements to attest that the software has not been tampered with, security enhancements to detect man-in-the-middle attacks, and development of a platform to facilitate edge software consistency and deployment.
