Naval Modular Missile (NMM) Industry Day – Postponement Notice

THIS IS AN INDUSTRY DAY NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS NOTICE SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT FOR ANY PROCUREMENT OF MATERIALS, MACHINERY, OR SERVICES. THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT INTEND TO AWARD A CONTRACT ON THE BASIS OF THIS NOTICE.

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) hereby announces that the previously scheduled Naval Modular Missile (NMM) Industry Day, planned for 21–22 October 2025 at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), Laurel, MD, has been formally postponed.

This postponement is due to the ongoing Government Shutdown. A new date for the NMM Industry Day will be identified and announced once Government operations have resumed and scheduling can be finalized.

We recognize the importance of this event to our industry partners and apologize for any inconvenience this postponement may cause. NAVSEA and PEO Integrated Warfare Systems (IWS) remain committed to providing industry with the opportunity to learn more about the NMM program, its acquisition strategy, and collaboration opportunities once the event is rescheduled.

Future Event Purpose

The rescheduled Industry Day will:

  • Introduce the NMM program and acquisition approach.

  • Highlight collaboration opportunities for traditional and non-traditional industry partners.

  • Provide insight into the Navy’s plan for a dynamic, multi-mission Family of Missiles (FOM) to enhance naval lethality and operational flexibility.

About the NMM Program

The Naval Modular Missile program is a next-generation initiative designed to deliver:

  • Multi-Mission Flexibility: Long-range hypersonic variant and scalable configurations to replace and expand current capabilities.

  • Enhanced Capacity: Multiple weapons per launcher cell to increase endurance and combat effectiveness.

  • Modular Open Architecture: Joint Navy/Air Force framework to enable rapid integration of best-of-breed industry solutions.

Next Steps

A new announcement with confirmed event details (date, location, and security requirements) will be released at a later time. Industry will be afforded sufficient notice to plan for participation once the Industry Day is rescheduled.
