The City of Manhattan is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for construction inspection in the category equivalent to the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) Work Category: 241- Roadway and Bridge Construction Inspection on the above noted project. The purpose of this RFQ is to determine interest in the project. All local firms that are already pre-qualified as KDOT “As Needed Inspection Consultants” are being contacted for this RFQ.

Three (3) copies of the project proposals must be submitted to arrive no later than the above time. Proposals should be mailed or delivered to the following address: Public Works Department, 1101 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502 clearly marked:

K-18 Highway Pedestrian Improvements (PD2201)– Request for Qualifications.

Plans may be downloaded from the Drexel Technologies Inc. Website: http://projectbids.drexeltech.com/ Plans are on file and are available for public inspection at the Public Works Department, Engineering Division, 1101 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas, 66502. This is a KDOT project using KDOT funding. A standard three (3) party agreement will be utilized between the City of Manhattan, KDOT and the selected firm with special attachments for the Kansas “Tax Clearance Certificate”, the “Certification of Final Indirect Costs”, and the “Policy Regarding Sexual Harassment”.

All persons entering into a contract with the City of Manhattan shall be subject to and required to comply with all applicable City, State, and Federal provisions pertaining to nondiscrimination, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action.

The completion time for this project is estimated at 75 working days.
