NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids are invited by the Department of Public Works of Humboldt
County, a public body, corporate and politic, for the performance of all the work and the furnishing of all the
labor, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment for the following project:
CONSTRUCTION OF
SHERIFF PATROL OFFICE REMODEL
COUNTY OF HUMBOLDT
PROJECT NUMBER: 2026-501
Pursuant to the Contract Documents on file with the Department of Public Works of Humboldt County.
A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time, June 30, 2026 at at the Humboldt County Sheriff's
Office, 826 4th Street, Eureka, California 95501.
Each Bid must be contained in a sealed envelope addressed as set forth in said Bid Documents, and filed
at the office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of Humboldt County, 825 5th Street, Room 111,
Eureka, California at or before 2:00 P.M., Pacific Daylight Time, on July 14, 2026. All Bids will be
publicly opened and summary amounts read aloud. The officer whose duty it is to open the Bids will decide
when the specified time for the opening of Bids has arrived.
Plans and Specifications and other Contract Document forms will be available for examination
at area plan centers and on the County’s website at:

Each Bid shall be submitted on the forms furnished by the County within the Bid Documents. All forms
must be completed.
Each Bid shall be accompanied by one of the following forms of Bidder’s Security with a certified check
or a cashier’s check payable to the County, U.S. Government Bonds, or a Bid Bond executed by an
admitted insurer authorized to issue surety bonds in the State of California (in the form set forth in
said Contract Documents). The Bidder’s security shall be in the amount equal to at least ten percent
(10%) of the Bid.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory faithful performance bond and a
satisfactory payment bond in the forms set forth in said Bid Documents.
The County reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in any Bid. No Bid shall
be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) calendar days subsequent to the opening of Bids without the
consent of the County.
All Bidders will be required to certify that they are eligible to submit a Bid on this project and that they are
not listed either (1) on the Controller General’s List of Ineligible Bidders/Contractors, or (2) on the debarred
list of the Labor Commissioner of the State of California.
The successful Bidder shall possess a valid Contractor’s license in good standing, with a classification of
"B” (General Building Contractor) at the time the contract is awarded.
The successful Bidder will be required to comply with all equal employment opportunity laws and
regulations both at the time of award and throughout the duration of the Project.
